Norwegian Cruise Line announced that it has taken delivery of the newest addition to its fleet, the Norwegian Encore, in Bremerhaven, Germany. The delivery marks the beginning of a nearly month-long preview tour with events scheduled throughout Europe, in New York, and in Miami.
“Today we celebrate the delivery of our 17thship and the close of our history-making Breakaway Plus class – a feat that was made possible through a special collaboration with our partners at Meyer Werft,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Our dedication to creating next-level offerings onboard will allow us to continue to deliver meaningful experiences for our guests, when Norwegian Encore arrives home to Miami.”
The Norwegian Encore is scheduled to commence its transatlantic voyage to the U.S. on Nov. 2, arriving to New York by Nov. 10, with a two-day preview scheduled from Nov. 11 to 13. The vessel will then voyage to Miami for a series of events, concluding with the christening ceremony and celebration on Nov. 21, which includes a live performance by Norwegian Encore’s godmother and Grammy Award-winning singer, Kelly Clarkson.
The ship features many highly rated attractions, restaurants and lounges for passengers to enjoy, including an elevated Italian dining experience, award-winner theatre productions like “Kinky Boots,” and more.
“Taking the brand’s exclusive, stand-out attractions to the next level, Norwegian Encore will feature the world’s longest race track at sea, at 1,100 feet, with four high-speed curves extending up to 13 feet over the side of the ship; the largest outdoor laser tag arena at nearly 10,000 square feet with the addition of augmented reality elements; and new immersive escape room and interactive theatre experiences in the 10,000-square-foot Galaxy Pavilion,” said Tim Meyer, managing partner of Meyer Werft.
除了创新的新船只外,挪威邮轮公司还将很快达到一个里程碑。到2020年1月1日,挪威人将成为第一个消除整个车队中塑料瓶的主要邮轮,以便为客人提供海上更可持续的选择。
